I'm Back

We are all moved in to our new home. Still lots of work to do. Comcast got my cable/phone/internet hooked up today about 2:00 p.m. I was able to see MVIS get over the 4 dollar mark.

Today was an impressive day for the longs. I am trying not to beat myself up, as everything I sold to be in cash while we moved has skyrocketed. Oh well.

Anyway, I want to run some screens and find a setup for tomorrow, so I'll keep this short.

As always, you can check out what my account is doing via the Stockalicious widget.

Oh yeah, I did buy 500 GIGM @ $14.99

A guide took us out in Appalalachicola to fish for drum. We were not very successful finding the drum, so he ran us up into the creeks in the marshes. The creeks were maybe 75-150yds wide, and a short distance inland off the bay. The triple tail look like a 10lb bream or bluegill, with big dorsal, tail, and bottom fins, all flowing back to make one big-ass fighting fish. They hang out on their sides,in shadows, typically under floating matter, be it a crab pot bouy, clumb or marsh grass, or piling. To fish them we rigged hooks only, and tossed a live shrimp to it, landing it maybe 6 feet away from the fish, and slowly pulling it to him. They are very skittish. We got 5-6 of them that day, with the biggest one over 10 lbs. We caught several 7-9lbs. To give you an idea of how hard these fish fight, we had one of the biggest ones actually rip a whole in dip net and escape. Definitely some of the most fun I've ever had fishing.

WS i fish for tripletail & tarpon all the time during the late spring & summer. my home is about 20 mi w of apalachicola, on the gulf @ indian pass. a shrimper caught a 55# tt last summer in his net, 10#'s over the state record. they are one of the best eating fish in the area. btw, we landed a 42" redfish last weekend.

Sounds like a permit. Big broad sides and quite the scrapper.

HELLO RICHARD

Nice redfish richard. My tt must not have been over 10#s, but I KNOW there were several in the 9s. 55lb tt is gotta be a monster.

I grew up fishing redfish off Charleston, SC. I miss the salt.
